Description
Peb's artwork depicts Hall of Famer Alydar before the 1978 Florida Derby in a parody of the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever.
In his two-year-old and early three-year-old seasons, Calumet Farm’s Alydar claimed the Great American Stakes, the Tremont Stakes, the Sapling Stakes, the Champagne Stakes, and the Flamingo Stakes on his way to the 1978 Florida Derby.
Alydar finished second to his rival Affirmed in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes in 1978.
