The Tapit colt out of Danzatrice gave jockey Luis Saez his third Blue Grass win and trainer Todd Pletcher his record-breaking fourth victory in the 2023 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes. Pletcher now maintains the most Blue Grass wins by a trainer (2005, 2008, 2015, 2023). Tapit Trice finished third in both the Belmont and Travers Stakes in 2023.
