Description

Peb's artwork depicts Forego, American Horse of the Year for three consecutive years (1974 to 1976), still in the running for the 1977 title.

Also depicted are jockey Bill Shoemaker and racehorses Great Contractor, J.O. Tobin, Quiet Little Table, and Majestic Light. 

Ultimately, Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew would claim the title of American Horse of the Year in 1977.
