Menow, bred by Hal Price Headley, was the American Champion Two-Year-Old Male Horse in 1937. He was retired to stud at Beaumont Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1939. Menow sired 32 stakes winners, including Capot (Horse of the Year, 1949) and Tom Fool (Horse of the Year, 1953).
