Description

Wise Dan, named Horse of the Year in both 2012 and 2013, and won the 2010 Phoenix Stakes, the oldest stakes race in North America, which began at the Kentucky Association track in 1831. The race was named for the Phoenix Hotel, a downtown Lexington fixture. The Phoenix was one of several stakes races that were moved to Keeneland from the Kentucky Association.
