Description

Nashua, who was named Horse of the Year in 1955, retired at the end of the 1956 racing season to stand at Spendthrift Farm. He made a final public appearance at Keeneland on Oct. 18, 1956, where he galloped on the track with jockey Eddie Arcaro.
