A crowd of female protestors carry signs support jockey Kathy Kusner in this illustration by caricature/humorist artist Peb. After being denied a jockey license by the Maryland Racing Commission because she was a woman Kusner took her case to court. In 1968 she won her case to become the first licensed female jockey in the United States.
