Peb's caricature/humorist artwork depicts U.S. Racing Hall of Fame jockey Bill Shoemaker and racehorses Spectacular Bid, Smarten, Text, and Valdez in the Meadowlands Cup in October of 1979.
U.S. Racing Hall of Famer Spectacular Bid (1979 American Champion Three-Year-Old Male Horse and 1980 American Horse of the Year) took the 1979 Meadowlands Cup. He was also the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner in 1979.
