Fitzsimmons won 13 Triple Crown races and trained 2 Triple Crown winners Gallant Fox (1930) and Omaha (1935).He was inducted into the U.S. Racing Hall of Fame in 1958.

Whirlaway wins 1941 Kentucky Derby

Whirlaway with Eddie Arcaro up wins the 1941 Kentucky Derby by eight lengths. An eventual Hall of Famer, Whirlaway earned back-to-back Horse of the Year titles in 1941 and 1942.
