The 2010s ushered in several developments at Keeneland, including replacing the Polytrack surface of the main track with dirt and the installation of an innovative drainage system in summer 2014.

Keeneland celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2011 and hosted a special stakes for 2-year-olds on opening day of the Fall Meet. In 2015, the new Welcome Center and Ticket Office opened outside the South Gate entrance. Keeneland first hosted the Breeders’ Cup World Championships in October 2015.
