Description
Alydar, owned by Calumet Farm, famously came in second in all three races of the 1978 Triple Crown to his rival Affirmed after winning the Blue Grass Stakes. Jockey Jorge Velásquez and connections stand in the infield at Keeneland, as there was no designated Winner’s Circle until 1984.
