This unusual view of the crowd in the Grandstand during a race day in October 1948 was taken from the catwalk by Joel Clyne “Skeets” Meadors, a photographer who specialized in horse conformation images for farms, but also worked at Keeneland, documenting races, construction projects, and spectators.
