This is a photographic portrait of the jockey Vincent Powers.
Powers achieved acclaimed success as both a jockey and trainer in the United States and Europe during the first three decades of the 20th century. He is the only rider to have ever led the North American standings as both a flat and steeplechase competitor. He was inducted into the U.S. Racing Hall of Fame in 2015.
