Description
In this conformation photograph, taken in October of 1952 or American Thoroughbred Double Jay.
Double Jay, trained by Walter 'Duke' McCue, had a remarkable two-year-old season, earning him the title of American Champion Two-Year-Old Colt in 1946. Although his subsequent racing years were not as successful as 1946, Double Jay's progeny earned him the North American Champion broodmare sire ranking in 1971, 1975, 1977, and 1981.
