Other major race wins include the Jockey Club Gold Cup (1953), Whitney Handicap (1956), Massachusetts Handicap (1952, 1956), Arlington Handicap (1952), Acorn Stakes (1954), Alabama Stakes (1955), Suburban Handicap (1962), and the Wood Memorial Stakes (1966). Boland finished his 20-year career with 2,049 wins and purse earnings exceeding $14.5 million.
