Description

Peb's artwork depicts 1993 Caesars International Handicap
contenders Lure and Star of Cozzene as gladiators in a Roman arena. Atlantic City Race Course owner Robert P. Levy and his wife Cissie are featured in the emperor’s box, while other entries are depicted as guards.

From 1990 to 1997, the United Nations Stakes was known as the Caesars International Handicap. Star of Cozzene, ridden by Jose Santos, won the race in 1993. Lure would claim it in 1994.

The United Nations Stakes was moved to Monmouth Park in 1999.
